Together Garden Rooms grew from a habit of writing dated notes after every site visit. The entries below are how we remember why the studio exists in Toulouse rather than as a generic interiors shop.
After a morning measuring a court off Rue du Taur, the pages carried pink dust from the facade. That stain became a reminder: every garden room here answers brick, not white catalogue walls. Founders Lea Martin and Marc Ortega decided the studio would specialise in glass rooms that negotiate Pink City fabric instead of fighting it.
They kept the office small so both could still attend surveys rather than manage a distant team.
A finished conservatory near the canal became unusable for twelve days of extreme heat. Clients slept downstairs and blamed the glass. We returned with exterior shade, a venting rethink, and a written ritual for opening and closing. From that week onward, shade-and-heat entered every proposal as a first-class chapter, not a footnote.

The studio now holds two stylists, one planting lead, and a coordination seat for installers. Everyone lives within a Toulouse bike ride or a short train. We hire for patience with brick courtyards and honesty about what plants survive, not for trend fluency alone.
When work peaks in spring, we lengthen weeks rather than dilute attention across too many glass rooms at once.
Rue du Taur keeps us walking distance from many courts we serve and a short ride from canal-side houses. Clients drop samples without booking a suburban park. The street noise reminds us that garden rooms here sit inside a living city, not a silent show plot.
